One of my plastic ladder flange things was broken, so I removed both. Looks like a bolt and an insert drilled into stone, bolt is stuck in one and completely rounded off and I'm pretty sure the other is wasted too.. These are them:
Should I buy two new surface mount ones like these?

Or should I bite the bullet and drill into the brick for the flush mount ones? My pool has a stone "lip" around it, and paver bricks beyond the lip.
