Ladder cup install help

Hello, I am currently in the process of replacing my concrete pool deck. I had a pool company come in to do some plumbing and they left me a new set of ladder cups. How do we go about installing the individual ladder cups? Are they wet set into the concrete or layer out ahead. Or am I best of scrapping these and getting cups that come with a channel bracket to attach them to.

You would need to set them before the deck is poured, wet set them as the deck is being poured or core drill the holes after the deck is poured. The first two options leave room for error. Being in the concrete cutting business I have core drilled lots of holes for ladders, you could expect to pay $300 to $450 for the two holes. If you go option 3 look for a small company and ask for a cash discount. You could do it yourself with rental equipment if your fairly handy.

I don’t have any channel bracket, I have just noticed a lot of cups online have a bracket that hold them spaced apart like this one.
