2 months ago I was going to Leslie’s 2-3 times per week running perfect weekly, poolrx, clear aid, pool refresh, dichlor tablets amongst other chemicals along with 12-20 psi filter pressure within 2-3 weeks of a complete grid removals and cleanings using 675 watts to run the majority of the day on like 3 different pump cycles to be sure and turn the pool
over once per day. Constant adjustments like 3 times per week etc.

With your guys’ help I’m now using literally liquid chlorine from Walmart and 31.45% muriatic acid from Home Depot with some baking soda on hand. The Taylor test kit and speed stir are huge huge time savers and are so much more accurate and consistent it’s crazy compared to how I was trying to do it. The 2 pool maintenance people we had it really showed me how bad they were and how much money we could save.
My pump now runs 24/7 at about 125 watts, 1 psi after 5 weeks since last cleaning and only ramps up for needed accessories (heater/swcg coming soon) and I have now had PH at 7.5 (with solar cover on 80% of the time) for 2 weeks with zero adjustment. Chlorine is super predictable and will hopefully be a lot easier and cheaper here soon with an IC60 on the way.

So thank you guys so much. Its been a tremendous help and so nice to know our family and friends are swimming in safe water and algae etc will likely never be a problem!

It never gets old seeing someone get off the pool store turnip truck, and then excel at it. Well done. :salut:

So I moved and built a new pool. I had my IC60 on site before I even inked the build contract. I technically secured the swg during the shortages and had nobody to build my pool. #priorities.

Congrats!
Soon you’ll be so bored lol 😂
At first you may feel guilty when doing more enjoying of the pool than working on it/feeding it. Those feelings will eventually pass and you’ll eventually transition into occasionally needing to remind yourself to check on your well oiled machine & say a quick thank you to your swcg for its valiant service 😁

Yes, it truly is so much more peace of mind checking the PH & FC levels and seeing them act in a predictable manner. Glad it took 4 months to figure out instead of 4 years or something.

Grateful to be a part of this forum.

🙋‍♂️

Took 6.5 years to find TFP. Then probably close to 2 more to get a grip on the basics because the IC60 handled most of it for me.

They are truly magical, I'm telling you. Wait. They're painstakingly boring and you won't be needed much, and *that* is magical. 😁
