I just started a SLAM, and in about 45 minutes my water went from having a greenish-tint to it, to barely being able to see the bottom of the pool. The Chlorine is at SLAM levels, I'm just wondering if it getting greener is normal right after beginning a SLAM?

No, from city water. Has been crystal clear all season until yesterday. I think my CYA built up too much.
Working on it. I've been getting by with test strips. Might be a few days until I can order a TF-100.
Was planning on ordering a kit last month but had to get my SUV fixed for $2000. So of COURSE I would need it now.
You really can’t do a proper SLAM without a good test kit. The strips just don’t work, and you need to know your CYA level to know where your FC should be.
I know, that's why I just ordered the kit. As soon as I have numbers I'll update.
Well done!!! Until then you can add a jug of chlorine each day to keep it from getting any worse.
Well, my kit came today and it's missing the CYA View Tube referenced in the instructions and shown in the videos. Going to start testing the other stuff now. I'll probably just start a new thread with my numbers.
Aaron can you share a pic of the tubes that came with the kit please? I have PMed the owner but want to make sure what you do have.
