Just opened our pool and my numbers are way off, already

I just opened my pool, a week ago. No one has been in it yet. The water is too cold. I finally got new test strips, as my Taylor rapid test kit chemicals have expired. So here are my results:
Total hardness 0
Free chlorine 2
Bromine 0
Total chlorine 5
Cyan is 0
Alk 0-40 range
Ph is 6.2 where do I start?

Don’t trust any results thst come from test strips. Too many people have made mistakes based on trusting them, and so we don’t trust them here at all.

Your #1 priority is getting a proper test kit. Otherwise, you're flying blind.

Test strips/ pool store testing

You will never succeed with this approach. You need the right tools for the job.

No.

At this point, your best option is getting a TF-Pro (or TF-Pro Salt if you have or will install a SWCG). Don't flinch at the cost, it's an excellent investment. It will save you massive amounts of money, time, and effort.
