Just opened in west Michigan, thanks to TFP the pool was CRYSTAL clear when I took the cover off. Still had FC upon test!

One question: Is there any reason for me to SLAM?

You can do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test if you like. But I doubt you need to do anything but run a full set of tests and address any pH or other issues.

Congrats, fellow Michigander! Pool looks great. I would get her cleaned up, then run a full set of tests. We also opened to a clear pool but had a lot of worms - eewww.
