Just got a new motor and a new impeller, but I have a leak

Just bought a new motor and a new impeller. The guy that I bought the motor from put the new seals in it, but it's leaking. Any idea what it could be? It looks like it's leaking between the motor and the seal plate, not between the seal plate and the filter housing.

It appears to be leaking between the motor and sealplate. Leaks showing in that area virtually are always the seal, though the sealplate could also be damaged. But there are other things to look at.
Was a new seal installed? You should never re-use a seal. Doesn't matter if someone says, "I do it all the time." Its wrong to do so.
Was the "cup," the metal part of a PS-1000 is seal installed to, cleaned properly?
Was a small amount of silicone applied to the metal portion that goes into the sealplate?
Was that portion driven in completely with the appropriate tool or a 1" PVC coupler? Either are good.
Was the impeller screw (if it has one) re-installed? An impeller that size would always have one. Don't know anything about that motor, but it may not have the required left-hand threaded hole in the shaft. No impeller screw = big leak, every time if the impeller has a hole for one.
