I just bought a house this last week and we moved in. We decided to buy a house with a pool, details in my signature.
The first thing I noticed was that the previous owner utilized chlorine tablets and my first thought was - stabilizer will be up.
Delivery of kits is impacted by the current situation, so I took the water to Leslie and asked to test CYA.
The pool guy tested and said: it's high and will be hard to fix it... thanks!
I still got the Leslie stripes to test the CYA and was thinking about dropping half of the water and refilling it...
However, these are the values from the brand new strips (yes, I know they are not 100% but still):
Ph - between 6.8 / 7.2
FC - 3
Bromine - 5
TA - 20
Stabilizer - lower than 100, but close.
Thoughts?
