JM Eagle 2" SCH 40 pipe question...

Listed as SCH 40 and has a 280psi rating but also says DWV on it. I thought Drain, waste vent was for no pressure application. Is this still suitable for pool plumbing? I would think so with a 280 psi rating, not sure why they have it also listed as DWV.

If the pipe has ASTM D 1785 on the pipe, it's suitable for pressure applications. A rating of ASTM D 2665 means non pressure applications and should not be used for pools.

A pipe can be dual rated ASTM D 1785 and ASTM D 2665, but it has to say ASTM D 1785 if it's going to be used for pressure.

The pipe should also be labeled NSF-PW (National Sanitation Foundation - Potable Water) and Schedule 40 PVC.

Meets ASTM D 1785, ASTM D2665, NSF-PW, NSF-DWV, standard 61, standard 14 and IAPMO specifications.

Thanks James. The pipe I have in front of me says ASTM D1785 NSF pw-G-dwv. Also says Made in America. Haven't seen that in a while!
So it looks like it is suitable for my new heater install plumbing.
The picture in the HD link looks like it shows D2665 so it must be a wrong photo.

It's dual rated.

In the description, it says "Meets ASTM D 1785, ASTM D2665, NSF-PW, NSF-DWV, standard 61, standard 14 and IAPMO specifications".
