I asked about this a few months back I guess. One of my valve actuators randomly decides not to move it’s the one one that picks to pull from the pool or spa and caused my spa to drain. It switched fine to the spa but didn’t switch back. I played with the switch on the bottom and it didn’t move. Then I moved it manually and it started working again when I was cycling through the valve settings on the pda panel. Main question is how do I know if it’s the pda or the valve before I start buying parts to rebuild the valve?

Sounds like you have a flaky micro switch in the actuator.

If you have another one you could swap the JVAs to see if the trouble follows it. Also just opening it up and inspecting the gears might point out issues with it.
Last night used the jacuzzi. Valve moved fine both times so I’m guessing something intermittent with the valve. I’ll try the switch first
