I am new to home pools. Just had a new Jandy Truclear Chlorination system installed. The screen reads Chlorinating 50%. Then an hour or so later there is nothing on the screen. Question, does the system go through a cycle where it makes chlorine then because of the chlorine levels in the water, the system stops making chlorine and therefore there is nothing on the screen?

No. It produces chlorine 50% of the time it's running. It has no means to test the water chlorine level. You'll need to test with a proper test kit and dial in the truclear to what you need.
