Our unit is showing the ”check cell” message. According to the manual it means there’s an electrical problem. Anyone have experience with this message? Can we replace just the cell or do we need to replace the whole thing? Thanks!

Is the cell from 2016? If so, there is a good chance it is worn out. How do the plates look? For now, power off everything, reseat all electrical connections and turn it back on. What is the water temp? What is your salinity? With a cell going bad, raising salinity to the higher end of the range might get your another season out of it. 4 seasons is dismal performance for that cell.

Too bad the cell cover isn't leaking since if it was, and you were to call Jandy tech support and tell them it was leaking, they would probably send you a new cell for no charge.

Thank you both for your tips.
The cell is from 2016, it’s the original one. I just tested the salt, level was 2800, I‘veadded some to get to 3000. And then I’ll turn it back on and see what happens. The cell is clean. We powered off and on but nothing changed. I just put the thermometer in the water but I suspect it’s mid 80s.
If it leaks, will they replace even if it’s past the 3 year warranty?

50/50 chance they would replace it.
