Hi All,

I have a Jandy RS four system. That is about 10 years old. A couple days ago, I noticed that the board had no lights. When I opened it up, it was clear that the fuse had blown. I replaced the fuse, but still, nothing is working.

I’ve confirmed that the breaker is good and 24V of power is coming from the transformer into the board. The fuse does not seem to be blowing again, and I’ve tried a couple of them at this point.

I started unplugging the various control wires on the board to see if that would allow the lights to come on, but still no luck. I was doing them one at a time.

Perhaps the next step is the unplug everything other than the power and see if it comes on? If power does not, is the board likely bad?

Anything else this could be? I saw a CR battery on there as well but I’m assuming that’s for memory? Could that be doing this?

Thanks!!

Welcome to TFP.

CR battery is just to maintain the date and time when power is off to the board.

Sounds like whatever blew the fuse fried the board.
