Jandy PLC 1400 replacement salt cell

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've been on the forum.
I believe I need a new salt cell. It's been almost 5 years since the system and pool were put in. I've raised my cell to 95% and my FC continues to go down. My remote shows a message of "Check aquapure general fault". No other codes. The manual didn't give any help. Yesterday, I gave the cell an acid/water bath and saw no change. The top and bottom plates show a little corrosion on one corner of each. To me, everything else looked good. My pool salt level shows 3300.

Am I correct that it's time for a new cell?

I've found the jandy one on Amazon and inyopools for about $40 difference. Should I look at other dealers or even generics?

Sounds like time for a new cell. Replace the power cord when you replace the cell.

Generics are sketchy. You don't know what you are getting in life or warranty. You get what you pay for.
