Jandy LX400 Heater Win

I have a Jandy LX400 that is at least 15 years old installed by previous owner. The blower fan completely rusted out last summer sending rusty pieces flying all over. The original Jandy blower motor is impossible to find except for a few hoarders that want $400. I was beginning to price out new units (ugh) then for the heck of it I removed the old one and found the actual manufacturer (Fasco) of the blower motor with model #. I then found an Ebay vendor that had several for sale at reasonable prices (probably stripped out of other appliances). I installed it, redid the gasket and it now works great. I am hoping to squeeze a few more years out of it....

You have discovered the biggest scam in the pool industry. Almost all components installed in the heaters...control valves, fans, blowers, etc are standard heating system parts. I too had the same ordeal a few years ago. I needed a new blower for my heater. Hayward wanted over $500 for the part. being in the HVAC industry part time I was able to source the same exact fan/motor assembly from my supplier for about $125
