Morning my Jandy JXI 260 isn't heating this morning. When I use my app and turn on the heat the pump speeds up but I don't hear anything happening at the heater. It has power and tried turning off the breaker to reset it. Didn't change anything for me what do you suggest?

water is 80 degrees at the moment fyi

You should see a code on the heater LCD panel. It'll tell you any errors. Could be an IGN error which is usually a bad ignitor.

Can you post a pic of the LCD panel? It should at least show it is in remote mode.

7.2.2 Configure the Control Panel• Make sure the pool heater is OFF.• Press and hold MENU, then the POOL and SPAbuttons for 5 seconds to access Service Setupmode.NOTE: The display will revert back to OFF 1 minute after the lastkey press.• Press MENU, REMOTE OFF (default) is displayed.• Use Up or Down to scroll through the Remoteoptions until REMOTE TSTAT is displayed, thenpress MENU to select.• Press POOL or SPA to exit Service Setup mode.• Press POOL or SPA to adjust the set point to themaximum 104°F (40°C).

What does your Aqualink screen say? Have you tried power cycling everything? If all else fails, take the heater out of remote TSTAT mode and run it manually.

Issue was water was frozen inside the small copper line that runs on outside of heater. Warmed it up to thaw out and heater is working again. Going to try to keep water a little warmer when not using

As info if it helps someone. This is a known issue with JXI heaters if you use in the winter. Going to add some foam insulation to the copper line to see if it helps. I have to use hair dryer to unfreeze the 1 inch line a few times per day. It’s zero out today and didn’t have an issue in the low teens.

I will take a photo tomorrow. I know I will be out there with my wife’s hairdryer…

Local pool company who uses only Jandy said they had 13 different heaters with same problem yesterday.

I am not sure where the copper pipe is or what it does.

Have you tried wrapping the copper pipe with heat tape?

Lots of pool heaters have not been designed to work in cold temperatures. It is usually a condensate line that freezes and heat tape needs to be put on condensate drain lines.

The line comes off of the water exit out of the heater. It’s a safety feature connected to a flow switch that confirms enough water is moving before heater turns on.

Not yet and will wrap it tomorrow

Yes realize a little crazy running year round :)IMG_1578.jpeg
