I just put in the Aqualink 3.0. Right now we have a regular white lights in our pool and spa. Thinking about putting in Jandy Infinite WaterColors Lights. I was also quoted on generic multi colored LED lights. However we would not be able to control the color on the AquaLink 3.0, just the light schedule. Colors would have to be done on a separate remote. Wondering if the Jandy lights are worth double the cost…

Probably not depending if you are installing or not. It's really a matter of preference and if you have the money.

Wish we were handy so not installing ourselves. I just wasn’t sure if the handy light fixture would be superior in quality/hold up longer to a generic.

I have no idea if they're any good, but there's a company called CMP that sells lights with a "smart sync" feature claiming to make them compatible with the "top 3" automation systems. I'd guess that's Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy. Looks like a big disadvantage is that their general purpose light seems to be low power: only 11 watts.

There have been past threads with unflattering reports on longevity of Jandy lights, but not - that I've seen anyway - this model. That may mean nothing. It seems many people have problems with most brands.

FYI, In March, 2021, Fluidra, parent company of Jandy acquired CMP.

The CMP lights are very similar to Jandy WATERCOLORS WITH HYDROCOOL NICHELESS LED LIGHTS which appear to be CMP lights.
