Jandy epump - spontaneously turns on and off

So it was around 39F here in central Florida and surprisingly my jandy epump was running early am(turned on and off by itself) not sure if duration.

According to programming it was not supposed to run at that time.

Is there perhaps a “anti-freezing” protection built in or is there an electric gremlin in there?

I suspect an anti-freeze protection. Most (if not all) VS pumps have a freeze protect built in.
