Hello
We are new to this and have a few questions. We brushed our pool once a week. Recently we had some constructions done and there are some debris in the pool (dirt).

  1. We are curious what is the CLEAN MODE on Aqualink for and when to set it?
  2. Also, are there any resources out there we can look at to see how long we should run our filter pump run at what speed and clean mode?
  3. Do we run the Clean Mode with the Filter Pump running?
  4. When to turn on spa mode and clean mode?
  5. How to clean spa?

  • 18,000 gallons
  • In ground, plaster pebble
  • If it’s IG, tell us if it’s vinyl, plaster/pebble, or fiberglass
  • The type of filter you have DE Jandy
  • Jandy variable pump
  • July 2022 pool completed - have not yet clean filter
  • We are using Leslie to test our water along with just test strips and a digital aqua water tester
  • We have heated spa

Welcome to TFP.

1. We are curious what is the CLEAN MODE on Aqualink for and when to set it?
Clean mode is if you have an In-Floor Cleaning System (IFCS). Clean mode turns it on.

Do you have a IFCS?

Every pool is different. You need to see what your pool needs.

  1. Do we run the Clean Mode with the Filter Pump running?

Yes. The whole purpose of Clean Mode is to run the pump at a high speed.

  1. When to turn on spa mode and clean mode?

I doubt Clean Mode will work in your spa.

  1. How to clean spa?

That is always a problem. Spas are too small to run pool cleaners in them. You just need to run the spa for a while and let the filter clean it. Brush the spa while in Spa Mode so debris on the floor gets into the water and filtered.
