I have a Jandy cartridge filter, believe it is the CL model with 4 large filters in it. I have cleaned them several times before and tonight cleaned them again because I want to see what the baseline PSI was. After cleaning and putting it all back together and starting the system back up it is reading 19 PSI. Does this sound correct? I have rad and can see that some are between 10-20 but man that seems high as a baseline but what do I know that is why I am on TFP.

My pump is the original pump from 2006 and is a 2 hp single speed from the best I can tell. I know they don’t make it anymore and I cannot even get parts for the pump from Jandy.

What was your baseline clean before?
How did you clean the cartridges?
Are you sure the pressure gauge is not faulty? Does it go to zero with pump off?
Is that pressure on High or Low speed?
How long are the pipes to/from the pool?
How many skimmers and returns?
Post pictures of the entire pad, ensure enough pictures we can see everything and valves.

To be honest I never had a baseline and used the clean and dirty indicators in the gauge, but I was reading here today and saw that was stupid to do and I should know my baseline.

Not sure if it is faulty or not guess I will find out though and yes it zeros out with the pump off.
Is that pressure on High or Low speed?
Single speed pump so only one speed.
How long are the pipes to/from the pool?
This I am not sure but from the spa to the equipment pad is about 20 feet.
How many skimmers and returns?
5 returns in the pool and 4 in the spa and 2 skimmers.

These were previous pictures I had in my phone and if this not enough I am add more tomorrow as it is already dark outside.

Sorry missed this one. I just cleaned them with water and a nozzle on the water hose.

With the length of runs, I'd think about 14-16psi...with the heater, 19 is probably right, certainly not extraordinary pressure with single speed.

My be due to cleaning too.

Follow the guide, cleaning technique makes a difference.

Even though I have owned this house with a pool for 3 years I am still learning.
Thanks for that link as I was fixing to do a search on here on how to clean them.
