Hello, My pool is about 17000 and during summer time it seems that my Jandy Purelink 3port is not producing enough salt. I’m in Southern California and the heat I think beats the Crud out of my chlorine. I put my CYA at 80 but the pool seems lose chlorine. There’s no signs of algae in the pool. Just cleaned out the Jandy too with some muratic acid mix with water. Jandy is pretty much 3 years old. Is this generator enough for my pool size? Also what’s a better brand than Jandy I can get? I’ve already replaced it once and I can’t seem to get chlorine levels to go high during summer so wanting to know if people with bigger pools recommend something else?

If you have a PLC700 it may struggle and will only produce 3.5 FC at 80% in 24 hours in your pool.
A PLC1400 can make7FC at 80% in 24 hours in your pool.
Even if you don't think you have algae, might do an OCLT to confirm. Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
It also may be that if you regularly clean your cell with muriatic acid, you have damaged the cell plates over time. Muriatic acid removes the rare earth metals that make the chlorine. We don't recommend using acid...
