Jandy Aquapure 1400 PLC Failure - 3rd unit in 3 years??

As the title states, we had a pool installed in 03/2021 with a salt system using the Jandy Aquapure. Since installation we have received persistent codes 125 and 194 three times and the cell is not making chlorine. The first cell is the initial installation by our pool company (03/2021), the second cell was tested and installed by a Jandy rep directly (05/2023). We are now facing this a third time and of course nothing is under warranty any longer. They want to install another unit at $1500 (parts + labor). Has something similar happened to anyone here? Is there something we should check to determine why they are failing in the first place? Any input is appreciated.

I’ve been able to get the expected lifespan of around 5 years with my Aquapure 1400s. I’m on my 3rd one in 17 years. Having said that, I bought a new one last November and it failed early this summer. It was replaced under warranty, but I hope that’s not a sign of more trouble to come.

I’m pretty particular about my pool chemistry and keep levels within TFP recommendations. High pH can lead to scale inside of the SWCG and cause premature failure. Salt also has to be maintained at the proper level, but the SWCG will shut down if salt is too low or too high. Unless the sensor is faulty, which I’ve had, but an easy cleaning fixed that.
