New pool completed 7/2021. Plumbed for future solar expansion. Original equip includes 12V LED pool lights, Sheer Descents, VS pump, UV/Osonator.
I installed low voltage 12vdc landscape lighting (6ea) around our yard.
I was told I could hookup and control via existing AquaLink RS panel (relay) and activate lights via iAquaLink 3.0 app I have.
I installed a 120vac to 12vdc power converter to Aux 3 relay, labeled as Extra Aux.
Lights works great when I manually set system in "Service" mode via the panel button, and then push the Aux 3 button on the panel also. I hear the relay click and the landscaping lights turn on. When system is in "Auto" mode, none of Aux buttons on the panel do anything and lights don't turn on. I have a toggle switch programed in the iAquaLink App under equipment labeled Extra Aux, that I changed to say "Yard lights." When system is in "auto" mode it doesn't activate the light either.
So my main question is, how do I get the App to control the relay? I'm thinking its a prgramming issue.
Things I think I might need to do?
1. Dip switch(s) changes?
2. iAqualink "Web/System Setup/Assign JVAs" has a option which offers buttons for "Extra Aux." Choices include "Intake, Return, Solar, Cleaner." Is there where I need to assign a function for the relay to perform?
Or something else.

Thank you in advance for any help & asisstance.

By default Aux 3 is setup as the Spa Spillover function. This is controlled by the DIP switch settings. DIP switch 1, position 3 controls what Aux 3 is used for.

In the off position Aux 3 can be used as an independent output, if position 3 is on then its assigned to spillover.

Set switch 1, position 3 to off then you should be able to do what you want.

Mine is set up and works. This is how it is set up. I also have mine setup under the "Dusk Setup" so it comes on each night at dusk (changes with the dates).
