Quick question - We have a Jandy 2 lite - and only occasionaly use the heater, so we don't set the timer or anything. Should the pump be off when not in use? when we had the pool opened a few weeks ago, the service men set it and I see that the pump shows that its on, when in fact the heater is not in use. Thanks

Do you have one pump or two? Pool or pool with an attached spa? Your pool pump should be running for a scheduled amount of time.
Thanks. It’s a pool, one heater - no spa. I guess my specific question is - should the heater pump be running even when the heater is set to ‘off’? Thanks
So you only have one pump. So I'm confused as to what you call the "hater pump." With just a pool pump, the pool pump should always be running on a daily schedule.
