I have purchased a Jacuzzi J-VSP250 pool pump and was ready to wire it up, but the instruction manual noted that the pump needed to be supplied by an Isolation Transformer. The pump assembly has a J-Box attached just below the control panel and has two conductors (Black & Gray) with metal caps crimped on and a ground connected to the J-Box. The instructions also indicated that the power source should be attached to the terminal board board, but there is no access to what I am use to seeing on a pump motor, only the J-Box.
My question is does anyone know if this model pump has the Isolation Transformer internally installed from the factory or do I need to install one in a panel box externally.
