Help! We just got this pump last year for quite the steal new. Went to open the pool today and it’s leaking. I’m literally about to just post it all for sale because I’m so frustrated. I told the kids I would check on here to see if there’s an easy fix because I am not buying a new one or going through hoops to get this thing to work.

Check your paperwork- you may still be in warranty on it. Also If you used a cc w/ extended warranty protection. Then you would be able to deal w/ your cc instead of intex.
They are not really very repairable like regular above ground pumps.

Please post a pic from a bit more distance so we can see your whole filter/pump set-up. Is it on a level surface?

Took it apart with my brother today and discovered it just needs a new shaft seal. I’ve looked everywhere though for where to purchase replacement from intex and cannot find it. I have the 3000 gph sand filter- anyone know what size that one needs???

Perhaps you can measure it & call inyopools or a local pool shop to get one that will be the same size.
also look for people getting rid of their old one you can rob parts from.
