Hey all,
Noticed a crack/separation between the plaster/grout on my auto fill. Is this normal? Knowing my PB will most likely say it is. Pool is almost a year old. So far having several issues -crack on grout for coping, plastic on the exterior of heater melting and separating, and exterior cover of heater wires becoming discolored/burnt looking. All of which my PB says it's normal and due to the sun. PB is taking a long time to remedy the situation saying they are waiting on the contractors responsible to have time to come out and repair. It's been several months.

Reading the pictures from left to right,
picture #1: the over flow pipe has settled and moved away from the pool, happens a lot, because the soil was not compacted properly prior to installing the drain pipe.
picture #2: the wire sleve has no UV protection and this occurs. What I don’t understand is what wires are exposed and what is their purpose? Typically all wires not in PVC are rated for exposer to UV, (see picture).
pictures #4,5 and 6: A pool under 1 year from this concrete work being installed should not show these signs.

Appreciate your input. I apologize for not being clear about the wires. I am attaching pics of the heater for reference of what I meant by the plastic separating from the heater. It will be raining tomorrow and im afraid the water will get into the heater because of the separation. This pic was taken a 2 months ago and since then the gap has gotten bigger. Is there anything on my end I can protect the wire sleeve and the heater at this point? Thanks.

Ok now I understand, contact the manufacturer of the heater and show them the pictures. Yes your builder should have taken care of the situation but you will probably get a faster response from the manufacture as long as it was installed by a certified plumber it should be under warranty, that is not normal to see the plastic look like that.

Do you think something internally is causing the plastic to come off or is it from the outside elements?
