Here's an issue I've had probably with the IntelliCenter 2 app and now with the new Pentair Home app so probably not app related..
I have several schedules in the early morning until sunset and evening from sunset to a preset later time depending on weekday evening or weekend evening. I set my spa to preheat mid afternoon and the spa is nice and hot, ready to go by evening BUT the schedule overrides the spa mode, dumping all the water I paid to heat back into the pool causing me to have to re-heat the spa which wastes money and time causing us to have to get into a tepid spa after dinner. Pentair said to hook a USB drive to the IntelliCenter to grab a log and then email it to them which I haven't had time to do yet. This seems so archaic in 2024. The IntelliCenter is connected to the internet so there should just be a setting to allow or no allow data logging so they can grab real time data. That's an issue with how backwards Pentair is on the software side but the real issue is not having the schedule override the specific spa setting. To capture the data at the right time I suppose I'll have to repeat the problem and then go grab the log buy heating the spa just before sunset and letting it do its thing. With my home automation set up I used to have with Autelis and an old school Jandy panel I was able to do if/then logic to prevent this from happening.. "If the spa is on, then don't run this schedule". This was nearly 10 years ago so why can't Pentair get this right?
Anybody run across this issue? Any known workarounds?
I know I can manually disable the schedule if I go to turn on the spa but then I have to remember to manually enable the schedule again which is likely not to happen for a couple of evenings when I realize it's disabled. This should be automatic. That's the whole point of automation!
