Is this debris from a windy day or something concerning?

This is currently sitting on the top of the water all over the pool. Everything else is clear and test results were reasonable on Friday.

I added a little bit of liquid CYA and some calcium hardness increaser on Friday. I also added some sodium bicarbonate.

Welcome to TFP!!! :shark:

Looks like pollen, and there is a bug and a hair in there too.

Put hairnets in your skimmers and see if you can collect some for closer inspection. Hairnets also reduce the filter load.

Thanks, I have been looking at the filter “socks.” Are those a viable purchase?

Hairnets in the skimmer are wonderful. I have an oak, a hickory and some tree I don’t know (neighbor’s) that drop everything including tiny black seeds in my pool. Sometimes I’m swapping hairnets 4-5 times a day. They go right in the massive compost pile. Much better than washing skimmer socks.

What hairnets are you using that are biodegradable? The ones I’m using are polypropylene which isn’t.

Not sure but I'll find out. Lady I know gave me a grocery bag full of them when she shut down her little bake shop. I know they're a plant fiber. Maybe 50/50 poly or nylon. I have one corner of the pile that gets the pool scraps and I've never bothered to turn it to check if they degrade 100% or not.

I took this months testing to the local store to make sure I was somewhat in mine. This is my first couple months with the pool, so I am still learning.
Best not to do that again. Not my comparison but it’s like cheating off the dumbest kid in class. The CYA tests are frequently wrong at pool stores and their TA tests are frequently adjusted TA, so not what you want. Only make changes based on what your Taylor kit says.
