Sorry about the bad pics, was zoomed way in on a phone to try and capture. The white line you see is on the wall, not the floor of the pool.

Trying to figure out what this white residue/stuff is. It is in a fairly straight line along the shallow end on the sunny side of the pool. It’s not coming off with a brush or the vacuum, which is leading me to believe it is something else? Have a cc of .5 right now, rest of the results are in the pics. We had a couple of days where we were getting a low-flow error from the SWG which caused FC to drop down to 2, but I brought it back up with liquid chlorine.

We also had a lot of concrete residue on the liner and get concrete residue lines on the dry parts on a regular basis, not sure if it could be that. Posted a pic of that as well. Don’t get me going on the coping…

That is odd. What is that, a couple inches below the waterline maybe? Only in the shallow end huh?
It’s a couple of inches above the floor. The top of the image is the floor and the bottom the wall. I’m going to raise the FC to 10ppm tonight and see if it holds, if not, I’ll start a SLAM tomorrow and see what happens. Nobody is swimming this weekend anyway.

Curious to see if the SLAM makes any difference. Or you could do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test first. If you pass that, I doubt it's live algae.
I think I’m going to try the OCLT and see. I’d almost rather it’s algae, at least I know I can kill it and scrub it off vs it being something else.

The liner is embossed and has lots of nooks and crannies, so cleaning it can be a real PITA

No FC loss over night, back to the drawing board.
Well, at least you can skip the SLAM and not worry about shopping for chlorine. If it's not coming off, it sounds more & more like a discoloration of the liner itself. Almost like an isolated bleaching effect, but not from chlorine obviously otherwise you'd have it everywhere. I wonder if there's something unique going on behind the liner causing that effect?

I really hope it’s not that. The liner and pool is only two and a half months old.
