Is this a good price/value in DFW area?

New soon to be pool owners here! We farmed out 4 PB for bids on an upcoming pool with a 55k budget. Our neighbors have spent 100k with various builders and all have beautiful pools but we weren't trying to spend that much for our 0.5 acre yard considering we may not stay long. Needless to say, bids varied greatly for free form pools 3x6ft deep. Our final bid was for a 33x18.5 freeform design 15000 gallon salt system pool/spa raised 18 in with a Dolphin robot for 56415. Includes 441 sq ft decking LED lighting tanning ledge 2 bubblers and umbrella sleeve. No other water features or anything. We are simply questioning if this is a fair price for the area considering we have family in Houston who spent less and got more but are saying it may just be the area demand. Any thoughts? Anyone in the DFW area with similar size pool that can give insight on pool size vs price for the area? Thanks in advance!

dr,

Welcome to TFP... a great place to find the answers to all your DFW new pool questions... :shark:

If you are only spending $56.5K for a pool and spa, then I say you are either getting a great deal or that something is missing.

Of course the exact same pool in different neighborhoods can often cost a lot more just depending on which side of the tracks you live on.. :p

I believe that a standard 15K pool, in the DFW area, without the spa and saltwater, would normally be about $50K. Add in a spa, automation, and water features and you would be look at $65 or $70K.

Thanks for posting and good job on going with Saltwater.. The easiest type of pool to care for...
