I mentioned yesterday I have chlorine lock I suspect and my cya according to pool store is 100 . I bought liquid shock but have no idea how much to use until my tf100 kit arrives. I ordered it yesterday. In the meantime I bought this because pool guy said it has no cya in it . Is this stuff ok to use temporarily or is it causing further issues . I have a copper issue too. No green water but the level is creeping up. Should I use this stuff or what until my kit arrives ?

Ya that works. It's Chlorine bound to calcium.
Your ch may go up a bit. But since it's not bound to cya, it won't be adding any. Kinda wondering what the "other" is. Hopefully not copper. I don't think it is at least.

A jug or jugs of liquid chlorine would be the most harmless, not adding any additional stuff.

I guess I could search for your post but “chlorine lock” is a pool store term. TFP relies on accurate testing. When your test kit arrives post a full set of results in the format
FC
CC
pH
TA
CH
CYA

Your CYA value will be most important. Until your kit arrives add 5 ppm FC with liquid chlorine.
