Is my R40 500w bulb too strong. long story short, pool electrician came - the dummy changes the 2 pool lights and didn't even look to see if there was a light in the spa. there was, so that bulb was dead and not fixed. luckily I took pics of the bulbs he used and the fixture housing. so I ordered another bulb and also got a new gasket for the housing. I replaced the bulb today, used an R40 500 watt 120v. This is what is used in the 2 pool light. Should I be using a lower wattage in the spa section which is small.

I found a pool vendor with an Anthony parts diagram, they say to use the br40fl300 bulb, that's 300W. from experience, do you all think that will still be too bright? thanks

so I ordered the 300w bulb and the blue ones, $85 shipped. I'll try a few different configurations and see what I like. maybe I'll get blue lens for my other lights. I'll update here after unless around.
