I have a 15k gallon in ground pool. I found a crazy deal on a pentair IC20 for $40. I opened the box. It looks brand new (threads are clean and clear wrap is over the control panel).
My IC40 stopped working 2 years ago and I've just been using liquid chlorine. I know the IC20 is undersized for 15k gallon pool.

Can I supplement the IC20 with liquid chlorine? Also are the dimensions the same so it's just plug and play?

Its plug and play and uses the original power center. (y)

Being so far north, you probably won't have to run it full time, but it'll be close during the peak season. It would take a record high temp year and then some for you to need to supplement with bleach, which is always ok.

With a single speed pump, energy use might offset the savings over the life of the cell.

Right now though, it's a $40 bird in the hand.

Thank you. I will get it tomorrow. Should've purchased it on the spot but was in a rush.

Open it up and make sure its a new cell - not one someone swapped out or something. The box looks to have been opened. If it passes the sniff test its a good deal! An intellichlor dummy is $75 lol 😂
