Is you motor for the pump getting hot when it runs? Warm to the touch is OK, almost too hot or more, would be the sign that it is miswired. Eventually the magic smoke would come out, and it would not work at all. But if it is just warmish, if even that, then all is OK there....

Thank you everyone. We did the backwash and unstuck the weir doors and it's working a lot better!
