Is it ok to put the pump, filter and chlorinator in the subfloor/crawl space?

Liquid Chlorine
The previous owners relocated the pump, filter and chlorinator in the subfloor/crawl space. The brick wall near the pool pump is losing its mortar. I'm wondering whether the liquid chlorine and the presence of all the pool equipment is affecting it.

The other issue is the potential dampness and increase in humidity it causes.

Does anyone else have their pool equipment installed in the subfloor/crawl space?

Hi noob. How old is the property? If you're talking about a typical 100+ californian bungalow with lime mortar, then mortar erosion is pretty much to be expected.

Assuming your crawl space is like mine (literally crawl space) how do you manage the regular pump&filter maintenance having to crawl under your house?

The property is about 70 years old. There's fairly significant mortar erosion with the bricks near the pool equipment which was moved there, I believe a few years ago, but elsewhere the mortar looks strong and intact.

The land slopes, and the entrance to the crawl space where the pool is, is about 2m so it has enough height.

Any chance you can post a few pictures of the equipment and the erosion?

Can the equipment be relocated outside in a location away from the crawl space?

Here are some photos of the area. The mortar erosion is most significant around this area of the house where the pool equipment is located, so my immediate thought was it's due to the pool equipment being there.

I guess with enough time and money we can relocate it, but I was wondering if it was a direct correlation between the two and it's out of the ordinary to put pool equipment under the house for the reason I mentioned above.
