Is it as simple as just diluting LC to increase the useful life?

Hi guys,

I am installing a Stenner pump for LC dosing and I was wondering about half life!

If I dilute 1 gallon of 10% LC with 1 gallon of tap water I am assuming the concentration of the LC drops from 10% to 5%.... correct?

So.... assuming the table below is correct, in doing this I have just increased the half life from 115 days to 371 days @ 90°F.



I know I will need to leave the pump running twice as long but are my assumptions correct?

Yes, it is true that diluting CL will extend the half life.
