Is a leaking pool pump something I can fix myself?

Pipe on my pool pump slowly seeps water. Is there a way for me to fix this myself or would I have to call a professional? And just recently the water flow has become inconsistent through the Jets. In the picture, The middle jet flows the strongest and the one on the right only bubbles. Could this be caused by the small leak? There is also a valve that open and closes the flow of water to the pool. When the valve is closed halfway, more water shoots through the jet on the right. Is there a special position this valve is supposed to be set at?

They did you no favors doing your plumbing.. I guess they thought it would last forever and ever.. they also sent your pipes through concrete I guess for the same reason..

Unions are a life saver.. you want them and they work great.. It looks like your pump is a 2 inch but make sure.. You would have to cut back and redo your plumbing but it is not hard... If I can do it anyone can.. Mine is not pretty so I painted it with plastic spray from dip your car wheel kit.. Here is what you need.. It looks like your filter can also use these but I am not 100% sure..

What is this unfiltered line for?

Here is what mine looks like afterwards :)
