Is a Hayward S210T filter too small for my pool?

Was fighting cloudy water for like 2-3 years now....was about to do a deep clean on the sand, but my father in law told me he thinks it might be undersized...cant find anything online for what size pools it is for..

I have a 16 x 34' pool with approx 20-22k gallons...thoughts?

It depends on your environment and how much crud gets dropped/ blown in the pool. If you alreadyclean it at 25% psi increases then a larger filter won’t help other than to delay the cleaning intervals.

If your pressure hasn’t gone up from the normal operating ranges and/or does quickly, you need to Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to prove something isn’t growing in the water, whether or not you can see it. The blessing and curse of regular testing is that it will give people advanced warning that they won’t believe because the water is still clear.

Either way I would deep clean it so you can use the new PSI as you baseline.
