Opening up vinyl pool here in East Texas. The slam went well, short and sweet, but there remains this light, brownish, caramel color stain on the sides, steps, and a mottled pattern on the bottom. Wasn't present last year and will further investigate possible sources. I have read the articles on AA, did the test with Vit C, and got a good result. but the staining, particularly on the bottom is currently less pronounced this morning than a couple of days ago. I am prepared to do the AA protocol, and am aiming the chemistry towards that end. But should I wait and see?
Stats this morning:
FC: 4
CC: 0
pH: 7.4
TA: 80
CYA: 55
Temp: 66

No harm in waiting and seeing.

The iron stains are cosmetic. All depends how much they bother you.
