Good Morning!
Just here to introduce myself. Thank you for the warm welcome. This is our first pool and we feel like we know nothing! This website has helped a ton - thank you. Our pool hasn’t even passed inspection yet but we need to get it all ready chemical wise bc it’s just sitting there. I guess my first question is - should we add borates? We have a SWG if that makes a difference. Thank you!

No. Learn what you're doing and see if there is a need for them. There likely won't be. The 'salt water' (in quotes because all pools have salt) pool will be plenty nice on the skin by itself.
