I’ve had several Intex pools that over the years but since adding kids to the mix water gets splashed out all the time lol. So legs sink fast. We downgraded to the smaller 12x30 Intex for the last 7 years while they were little and now I’m upgrading to the new Intex XTR 16 x 48 pool.
My question is, could I use the rubber pavers under each leg instead of concrete or wood? Any thoughts on these?
Mainly because I have a pile not in use but they’re pretty substantial. Each one is 16x16 and 3/4 inch thick. They shouldn’t crack like concrete and won’t rot like treated wood eventually would. They’re made of recycled rubber. Plus they wouldn’t be hard on my liner.
I’ve attached a photo of the ones I have.

Welcome to TFP :)

Pavers whether wood or concrete are meant to hold the legs from sinking (I would never setup an Intex style pool without pavers). Rubber pavers such as these I would think could be flexed if not folded by hand. This means the legs will sink as they are not capable of support the pools weight without deforming (your pools total weight is about 41k lbs. Not sure how that is distributed across the legs). When setting the pavers/pads the pool legs should be placed at the center so the pool exerts downward pressure equally across the paver/pad. If you place the legs of the pool off center more than likely the paver/pad will start to sink on the end the pool legs are on (been there done that). Remember if your pool is or becomes greater than 1.5 inches out of level (some say 2-3) then the pool is in risk of becoming unstable and collapsing.

Have to say I already am familiar to what happens to your pool if the pavers are not right in the middle or balanced with one another.
I also did not level them with my sand so it was too high. I have only owned this pool for a day and the metal at the bottom was given way.
Scratched that and started over. Though I think I will get pressurized wood this time. Pavers seem to crack with the weight.
12x24 Intex rectangle pool. And I definitely do agree that rubber would sink too.
