How do you guys vacuum your pool normally/during a SLAM?
I was using the lowest-quality Intex pool vacuum head (Deluxe Pool Cleaning Kit) , as seen in use here:
. It is merely a vacuum brush head at the end of an extension pole that connects directly to a long hose and directly to the in-wall inlet (anything it sucks up would make it to the pump filter basket). I've seen on Intex's website they now sell a small "fine net" on their vacuum head and uses a water supply (Basic Pool Cleaning Kit)
One constant concern for me with my vacuum brushead is the absence of a 'fine net' filter. Anything the vacuum picks up from the bottom of the pool ends up in my SWG pump. I have a "coarse filter basket", but there's no "fine net" filter to catch the smaller particles. I looked on Amazon, but it's the wild west there.
I ask because (1) I'm SLAMing and I'm wondering if I should continue this low-tech method or if you guys are manually vacuuming some other way, specifically using a "fine net" filter. and (2) I added a Hayward skimmer to my pool and it came with a "skim plate" that could connect to my existing hose, but again... no "fine net" filter.
Thoughts? Advice?
