Is it normal for the corner joints to be "locked" in while filling? The pool is halfway filled and the corners are tight. They are not flexible like how I see in other videos. I am scared the corners are going to burst if I keep adding water... Is it normal for them to be locked in and tight while filling?

normal, it will be like that until it gets filled, the sides will lift up and everything will be fine...
