Intex 15X48 - Pool Sand/Saltwater pump upgrade.

I just purchased a new pump from a friend who had been using the Intex Krystal Clear 2150 GPH Sand Filter Pump & Saltwater System with E.C.O. for about two years. I am wanting to purchase the need adapters and before I start getting my pool set up next weekend. The pump came with a skimmer and a 1.5" wall skimmer that had been removed from his old liner but I am a little lost on what I will need.

I know I have two intakes (one basket skimmer and one grill) that need to be connected to the 1.5 hose that will run into the pump. Can I get away with connecting my 1.25" lines to an Intex Split Hose Plunger Valve?

I plan on using the Intex 4 Pack Type B Adapter for Above Ground Pools Converts 1.25" to 1.5" to make the connection from my pump to the pool.

I would get rid of the 1.25 inch hoses, they really restrict water flow. Is there a intex return fitting on the end of that plunger valve in the picture? If there is you can use that. You will need to trim your liner a bit to make it fit.
