My Intermatic P1353ME resets the clock on power loss (all other settings are retained). I talked to Intermatic and they said the battery was not replaceable.

I have not exposed they system board yet, but I cannot imagine that a suitable solder in replacement battery would not work.

Has anyone tried this?

Ps. Long time lurker...

Welcome to TFP :)

I have not heard of anyone doing this, maybe you can be the first (y)

Stick around and check the site out...

969,

That just means it was not designed to have the battery (or cap) replaced.. It does not mean you can't physically do it yourself.

Thanks,

Jim R.
I understand that, I was just curious if anyone had attempted it and whether it was a battery or a cap backing up the clock...

Guess I will be a pioneer :) (it seems like I was always replacing components on ancient old HP printers).

I am now looking for a schematic of the system board. Anyone?
