Intellitouch/Screenlogic - Freeze Protection: Pool Cleaner Setting

I have an Intellitouch system that automates a pool/spa combo. I have a Polaris 280 with a PB4-60 booster pump on the pool return side. I am concerned about the booster pump freezing with current weather, so I went into screenlogic to make sure the cleaner is set to "On with Freeze." That setting caused the booster pump to run continuously - even when the valves switch over to the spa (which alternates every 15 minutes). The Polaris is set up as a "Master Cleaner."

When not freezing and equipment is running, the cleaner will not come on when the pool is in spa mode.

Is there a way to change the settings so that the Polaris only comes on when the valves are in pool mode when temps are freezing?

No.

Freeze mode does what freeze mode does. There is no control over how it behaves other then what equipment it covers.

You don't need to enable freeze mode on your booster pump. Water goes through it when in Pool mode.

Note: for the POOL circuit the filter pump will have freeze protection. For the SPA circuit the filter pump will run and the pool/spa valves will switch between pool and spa at 15 minutes intervals throughout the freeze condition. For the MASTER CLEANER circuit freeze protection is generally not needed for pool cleaner pumps since they get water flow from the filter pump. Just make sure that POOL has freeze protection.
