hello People of TFP,
My first post here. After last week's rain, I woke up to a dead Indoor control panel (Pentair pn: 520138).
Hoping you all can help shed some lights here.
Here're the details:
  • I have a Pentair Intellitouch i5+3 system.
  • Indoor panel LCD has no display/no backlight; buttons are unresponsive, no LED from button, occasionally the panel is making a buzzing noise.
  • I removed the Indoor panel from the wall and tested the wire, Red cable read+17V.
  • Right now I'm still able to run the pump by setting Intellitouch control panel to Service mode.
Questions:
1. Does this indicate I have a dead control panel?
2. Any other test/diagnostic you would recommend?
2. The indoor panel is crazy expensive, $700~$1000, is there a way to repair the board or purchase aftermarket version of it somewhere?

Thank you all.

CS,
What else do you have connected to the comm port on your outdoor board? (and do those things work?)

The indoor panel is definitely broken, but it can be repaired or the board replaced for much less - I'll send you a pm with some options
