I plan to wire the relay board (5A) to control on/off for my IC40. Installer told me I didn't need to as the flow switch in the IC40 was designed to control on/off. I don't like that idea. Flow switches are failsafes in my eyes.
Additionally I would like to use the higher amperage (16A) relay to control the on/off for my Raypak 8450 HC pump. If I am reading the instructions correctly I can set the HP to CHILL mode and if the water gets colder than the deadband I select than the heater will automatically kick on.
I THINK if I do this I can set my temps locally, which i don't expect to manipulate frequently, and than use the relay board to turn on/off.
Am I correct in this logic? Or will it now work this way?
