Hi,

Upon completing vacuuming the pool, I noticed the pump was running very slowly. I turned it off for an hour and started it up. It ramps up to about 450 watts and then slowly slows down to maybe 200 watts. It usually runs at 530 to 700 watts depending on pressure in filter.

Any ideas?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What is the flow/rpm you have selected? Does that change when you select another schedule?

Flow rate for filter was about 33 gpm. I set to 16.5 gpm with same result. Some more background. After the intial problem with the pool, I thought perhaps the pump was overheated....although I saw no indications of that. So, I left it sit for a few hours and just before dusk I started it up and it worked. The following morning, it was still working. I noticed I had set the valves to pull from the drain and the 2 skimmers. I usually run with just skimmers to keep pool clean. When I switched the valve to not pull from drain, the pump started to lose power. I stopped the pump and put the valve back to pull from drain and skimmers. Issue persisted. I stopped the pump and performed a backwash of the filter. That setting is 70 gpm. It appeared to perform the backwash/rinse with no issues. When I set it to filter, the issue was present. Last night, I took apart the pump and checked the impeller. Everything looked fine. Thinking this might be a "load" issue, I set valves to bypass the filter. Bypassing the filter did nothing. The issue persists.

I am not seeing anything consistent with the actions that the pump is presenting. Good job in checking impeller.
